Lessons learned the first 50 years

I hit a milestone. I turned 50 years old. I am thankful that I don't feel 50.   I am thankful for things God has taught me throughout those 50 years. .  I have learned that God loves mercy and when I feel a sense that justice needs to happen over mercy, all I need to do is remember that I am thankful for when God gives me mercy instead of a just punishment.   (Micah 6:8 8 He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.) ( Luke 6: 36  Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful. ) I have learned that hurt people end up hurting people.   When I am able to see that I didn't hurt them but I am bearing the results of that persons hurt inflicted by other people, it helps me forgive whatever hurt they pushed onto me and move on.  (Romans 12 : 18  If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. )  I have learned that anyone who thinks they have God

The Wait...

As we wait to find out what God already knows...and to find out His plan for John-Michael, we keep going...trying to keep things as normal as possible.  Whatelse is there to do? Besides.. Matthew 6:27 says Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?..  So, we try to live by Phillipians 4:8. (Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things..  What does that look like as we wait to find out why he has the symptoms he has...we have been swimming,  had friends over, worked on scrapbooking photos, played board games...  I have painted a few pictures, watered the vegetable garden (over and over..we have only had 2 days of rain for all of May..praying June is better).   Tomorrow, ..more play dates..more painting... choosing to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. .. no longer trying to be the controller of anything (God has long broke me of that)...1 Timothy 6:15   God is the blessed controller of all things, the King over all kings and the Master over all masters
