Ephesians Week 6

Ephesians 5   5  1  Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children   2  and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. 3  But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people.   4  Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving.   5  For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a person is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. The Gift of Dyslexia

He just had to have the disguise..
Don't let my blue hair fool you.  I am well educated.LOL.. I have my master's degree and specialist's degree in Early Childhood Education.  After today, I am wishing that it was in Learning Disabilities.  With each degree, I had to take at least one class in learning disabilities.   Today John-Michael saw an LD specialist and was diagnosed with dyslexia.  It isn't surprising because as high as 75% of NF kids have learning disabilities.  I am not worried..but I have some things to re-learn and to learn well.

Here are the basic abilities all dyslexics share:
  1. They can utilize the brain's ability to alter and create perceptions (the primary ability).
  2. They are highly aware of the environment.
  3. They are more curious than average.
  4. They think mainly in pictures instead of words.
  5. They are highly intuitive and insightful.
  6. They think and perceive multi-dimensionally (using all the senses).
  7. They can experience thought as reality.
  8. They have vivid imaginations.

  1. Rachel, my two sons have struggled with dyslexia - my oldest (17) overcoming quite well as far as reading, but he still has to work hard at spelling. I recently found a site that has confirmed some things for me and they share lots of interesting research I've never read (believe me - I feel as though I've read it all!) I would recommend spending some time here.
Wish I'd found it sooner - though some of the research is pretty fresh.
This link is to a particularly interesting article. I would be happy to get with you sometime and share some things that have propelled us forward. blessings
