Ephesians Week 6

Ephesians 5   5  1  Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children   2  and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. 3  But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people.   4  Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving.   5  For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a person is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Overcoming Dyslexia

As you know, a few days ago John-Michael was diagnosed with dyslexia.  If you have read my post at all, then you know I am a "fixer", as I have to do everything I can to fix a situation.  We met with a learning disabilities specialist who suggested having John-Michael make a 3-D model of the alphabet would help him and understand the shape of the letters (and the flipping would stop).

Here is the picture the first time he made his ABC's with play-doh.  Notice the squished D, backwards J, the huge W, and Y that looks just like an x, the s that is more like a curvy line.

Now here is his ABC's just a few days later..after I pointed out that all letters are made up of circles, diagonals, verticals , horizontals, and backwards C's.

Now, look at his letters...much like the letters are suppose to be.  I am also reading a book called Overcoming Dyslexia by Sally E. Shaywitz.  I will keep you posted on that.
