Lessons learned the first 50 years

I hit a milestone. I turned 50 years old. I am thankful that I don't feel 50.   I am thankful for things God has taught me throughout those 50 years. .  I have learned that God loves mercy and when I feel a sense that justice needs to happen over mercy, all I need to do is remember that I am thankful for when God gives me mercy instead of a just punishment.   (Micah 6:8 8 He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.) ( Luke 6: 36  Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful. ) I have learned that hurt people end up hurting people.   When I am able to see that I didn't hurt them but I am bearing the results of that persons hurt inflicted by other people, it helps me forgive whatever hurt they pushed onto me and move on.  (Romans 12 : 18  If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. )  I have learned that anyone who thinks they have God

Part 2- Armor of God- Shirer

Ephesians 6: 13-14 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist...   The Truth guards us from attack because he will make the attack person to us.  The devil is the master illusionist because he makes us think things are real when they are not. He also makes us think God doesn't mean what HE says in His word. Therefore, His word is the measure by which we understand all things.    We can't just follow our heart...... our hearts doesn't have intellect...  Our heart will lie to us.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart
    and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to Him,
    and He will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6).

.
We must discern truth from His word alone.. 1 Thessalonians 5:21
Test all things; hold fast what is good.   We must calibrate our emotions, actions and thoughts to line up with God's word.  ..otherwise, we allow the enemy to have an easy attack.

Remember you have a real enemy who wants to show you how to bypass God's plan (path) and meet your desires in a way harmful to you and others.   Don't let it happen.   Stand FIRM!
