Lessons learned the first 50 years

I hit a milestone. I turned 50 years old. I am thankful that I don't feel 50.   I am thankful for things God has taught me throughout those 50 years. .  I have learned that God loves mercy and when I feel a sense that justice needs to happen over mercy, all I need to do is remember that I am thankful for when God gives me mercy instead of a just punishment.   (Micah 6:8 8 He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.) ( Luke 6: 36  Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful. ) I have learned that hurt people end up hurting people.   When I am able to see that I didn't hurt them but I am bearing the results of that persons hurt inflicted by other people, it helps me forgive whatever hurt they pushed onto me and move on.  (Romans 12 : 18  If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. )  I have learned that anyone who thinks they have God

Best Friends...

Madeline with her best friend
What makes a best friend? I am not sure that one can ever be completely defined, but I know we can all point out who are very, best friends are.   I have certainly enjoyed my best friends the last few days.  I really enjoy running...and I am not talking about running indoors on my treadmill...with some of my best friends.  I love to run with Kathy Lee and Beth!  I love to be outdoors and run a 6 mile stretch! Talking, running, listening to music, looking at nature...be with them...it is the best!  I love to talk girl-talk..and drink hot tea..which I got to do with one of my oldest best friends, Kim!  I don't mean she is the oldest best friend in the group..LOL..I mean she has been dear to me for over 25 years!  I am so glad God gives us friends to help carry our burdens and to listen!  I am so glad they have been there for me during times of frustration, times of sadness, ..and of course, in times of joy!  It makes everything easier.......,       to have a friend!

Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up!
