Ephesians Week 6

Ephesians 5   5  1  Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children   2  and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. 3  But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people.   4  Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving.   5  For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a person is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Hosea 3 and 4

Hosea’s Reconciliation With His Wife 3  The Lord said to me, “Go, show your love to your wife again, though she is loved by another man and is an adulteress. They will come trembling to the Lord and to his blessings in the last days. Hosea 4 New International Version (NIV) The Charge Against Israel 4  Hear the word of the Lord , you Israe...

He buys us back, takes us home, cleans us up and keeps loving us.   1The state of Israel - Israel was split into 2 kingdoms. The Northern Kingdom was called Israel and its capital was Samaria (Ephraim in N. Kingdom) .     Southern Kingdom was Judah and its capital was Jerusalem).   Israel ‘s 1 st king was Jeroboam who set us shrines to worship calves at Bethel and Dan (1 King 12: 25-31.   Israel took pride in its wealth. Spiritually and morally Israel was a wreck. The country’s leaders were corrupt, and crime soa...
