Lessons learned the first 50 years

I hit a milestone. I turned 50 years old. I am thankful that I don't feel 50.   I am thankful for things God has taught me throughout those 50 years. .  I have learned that God loves mercy and when I feel a sense that justice needs to happen over mercy, all I need to do is remember that I am thankful for when God gives me mercy instead of a just punishment.   (Micah 6:8 8 He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.) ( Luke 6: 36  Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful. ) I have learned that hurt people end up hurting people.   When I am able to see that I didn't hurt them but I am bearing the results of that persons hurt inflicted by other people, it helps me forgive whatever hurt they pushed onto me and move on.  (Romans 12 : 18  If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. )  I have learned that anyone who thinks they have God

Erythema nodosum

Please note..those are veins..not hairs. LOL..
Last summer, I caught Fifth's Disease from one of my kids.  Usually people have this virus  by the time they are 5 years of age.  It is a one time virus, and has more severe symptoms in adults than children.  From this virus, last summer, I developed Erythema nodosum.  This is an inflammatory disorder that is characterized by tender, red nodules under the skin.  I can tell you that it feels like hot lymph nodes and it is uncomfortable, but the doctors say that it is usually not dangerous.  Last summer, I had them for almost 6 weeks.  I have already had them...this go around for about three weeks.  Here is hoping they go away more quickly.  I believe if I began running more regularly again, these bumps would go away.  However, Erythema Nodosum also causes a feeling of malaise.  I just don't have as much get up and go as I usually do.  I think this is where I just have to do the right thing, the not fun thing, and just run...even though I just want a nap.  LOL...

I have stopped drinking coffee, switched to hot tea.  That was the only thing I was eating/ drinking that my natropath told me not to. So, if this goes away in a few more days, instead of week, I will certainly not go back to  my morning coffee.   HOWEVER, if it is still there in a couple of more weeks, I am going to Starbucks!

  2. It has worked. Getting off of wheat and coffee has caused the erythema nodosum to go away. There are great recipes to have all of your favorites and follow the rules..no wheat ..no coffee. Try it!
