Ephesians Week 6

Ephesians 5   5  1  Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children   2  and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. 3  But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people.   4  Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving.   5  For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a person is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. [ a ]   6  Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient.   7  Therefore do not be partners with them. 8  For you were once darkness, but now you are light i...

Dirk Drama..food issues?

Image
So apparently, even my dog has food issues.  He has had at least 8 episodes of vomiting/diarrhea in the 8 1/2 years we have been his owners.   (yes, I take him to the vet each time.  They send us home with meds ..but no reason for the episode to have occurred).   Well, this  Friday- Monday morning...he had another episode.  My husband and I have shown our love for this dog..by cleaning up after him...in a way..no person should have to... and by forcing anti-nausea medication for dogs down his throat..only it to come right back up..before it could take its full effect.   A couple of hundred dollars later.... the vet tells us our dog has I.B. S.  (yep...irritable Bowel Syndrome)... Lucky us!  Even my dog is allergic to what he is eating.  Gotta laugh.   Dirk waiting in Dr. Orr's office In other news....I went blue again... just have to have some fun in the midst of homeschooling, parenting, teaching, painting...

Wrecks, toothaches, vacation, erythema nodosum, and more updates

Image
Well, this is what happens when I don't blog for almost two weeks.  There is so much to update you on.  Erythma nodosum is back.  ..just one spot on one leg, but it hurts.  I am going to start juicing fruits and veggies again on Tuesday.  I will eat some meals but they will be limited to fruits and veggies.  I will let you know if it goes away...again. Vacation.  We went to Folly Beach, South Carolina.  Other than the condo's air conditioning being out the first day, we had a great time!  (I love watching my husband play with the kids).  The weather was nice.  I was able to run on the beach and the kids loved riding the waves. The day we got back from vacation, I was too tired to cook so I went to pick up Chinese Food at a local restaurant.  I called in my order, arrived to get it..only to discover they had moved 4 doors down.  I got back into Russell's car, drove to the new location to only find out they weren't open....

So..one of my friends recommended that I watch "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead"..so should I be offended? You can watch the video from NetFlix.  I start juicing on Monday...praying the excema on my knee goes away and never comes back.  I will keep you posted.  Here is one days worth of food from his website http://jointhereboot.com/reboot-program/the-reboot-entry-plan/during-your-reboot-entry/ Meal Plan: Day 3 Breakfast Maple & Cinnamon Baked Apples and Pears 2 large hard Pears or Apples (Fuji, Rome, Pippin, Granny Smith or Jonathan work great) 2 tsp. Update ....erythema nodosum

Well, it has been 12 months since I have had erthema nodosum.  I first got it when I got Fifth's disease ( a virus) from my youngest son.  So, in that time..what have I learned... Here it is....   Overall, erythema nodosum occurs in approximately one to five per 100,000 persons. In adults, it is more common among women, with a male-to-female ratio of 1:6.    Peak incidence occurs in persons between 20 and 30 years of age, although erythema nodosum can occur at any age….I am proof at that..at 41.   Most direct and indirect evidence supports the involvement of a delayed hypersensitivity response to numerous antigens.   For me, I have noticed through trial and error and reports from two different Naturopaths, that I can not have corn, wheat, spelt, oats…etc.   The only grain I can have is brown rice.   I think my body and perhaps blood type ( O +) doesn’t like   grains. If I choose to eat even a small amount (two bites) of these foods, my ...
