Lessons learned the first 50 years

I hit a milestone. I turned 50 years old. I am thankful that I don't feel 50.   I am thankful for things God has taught me throughout those 50 years. .  I have learned that God loves mercy and when I feel a sense that justice needs to happen over mercy, all I need to do is remember that I am thankful for when God gives me mercy instead of a just punishment.   (Micah 6:8 8 He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.) ( Luke 6: 36  Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful. ) I have learned that hurt people end up hurting people.   When I am able to see that I didn't hurt them but I am bearing the results of that persons hurt inflicted by other people, it helps me forgive whatever hurt they pushed onto me and move on.  (Romans 12 : 18  If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. )  I have learned that anyone who thinks they have God

Loose Ends...

I am trying to catch my blog up... several things have happened that I haven't blogged about.  My mother in law had a heart cath two days ago.  They said her heart is stable.  Good news.  However, when she came home (the same day), she saw that her Westies were taken from her yard.  Please pray she gets Jade and Bennie back.
Noah turned 14 years old.  He wanted to go eat Sushi (His daddy likes I...I do not).   He had a triple chocolate cake and went to the movies...as well as to go ride giant goKarts at a local amusement park.  Olivie', my little Pappi-poodle also had a birthday on the same day.  She is 2.  She is such a love bug.  John-Michael has been begging us to let her sleep with him and since she is a barker...and doesn't know how loud she barks...since she is deaf...we let John-Michael try it.  She is so much better at night.
Madeline and John-Michael decided I am the worst mom ever..since I wouldn't them have  a cat as a pet... But these kittens are cute.
John-Michael had to see the eye doctor...all is well..and he got cool shades to wear for the day.

John-Michael went to a "Science" birthday party..and had a great time.

I took a photo of Ellie the Mustang and painted her (below)... I have painted 12 different paints for the art Auction that will benefit the rescue.  I hope it goes well.

I started teaching at Veritas again.  I have
such a sweet class.  Here they are dressed up...acting out how the Barbarians attacked the Romans.

Here is a painting of Honey Bun that I completed.

I also finished a shrimp boat.

I finished this buck painting.

John-Michael feed Trudy...one of the special horses at the rescue.

Madeline loved on Keylime...one of the new race horses at the rescue.

Poor Albert.  His best friend and the one he slept with...ate with...shared a stall with... passed away this week.  Roy was a large draft horse...so gentle and kind.  He was nearly 40 years old.  Roy passed away in his sleep... on the pile of shavings right outside his stall.   Albert was curled up with Roy when they discovered Roy had passed away.  Albert stayed with his body all that day... the volunteers placed a tarp over Roy's body while they prepared a spot for him to be buried.   Albert hasn't gotten off this tarp other than to eat a little.  It has almost been a week since Roy passed away.

Roy loved to sleep in the sun.

Here he is with Noah... you can see how large Roy was.
Here is Roy from Stone Mountain from the 1980's..

And he is from 2011..at the rescue...  He will be missed.
