Ephesians 2- Part 2

Study and learn. Be changed.  Ephesians 2 Made Alive in Christ 1 As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, 2 in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. 3 All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh[a] and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. 4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7 in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not

Righting a wrong?

ramp I am making for the turtles

Well, I have a story to tell.  a true story... When I was  9 or 10 years old, I caught two box turtles.  I remember placing them in a box with an inch of water  and a few pieces of vegetables. As a child, I  thought that would be enough food while we went on vacation for 4 days. My focus was this:  "I have these turtles and I do not want to let them go."   It was all me, me, me.   It wasn't often that we found turtles in the yard,  much less two turtles in our yard.  So, we were gone on vacation  .. and .. I thought the turtles would be fine.  When I returned, I learned what my ignorance and selfishness did.  I looked in the box and saw two dried up, fly-infested, dead turtles.    I was shocked.  ...and very repentant.  I was not a mean child and loved animals.  To this day, 30 + years later, it really bothers me that I did that ....   So, now I have a second chance...a chance to right a wrong.  I have been given the task to take care of Sarah's turtles for 7-8 months of the year...and I  do not intend for my stupidity  to be a factor in the demise of the turtles.. I have watched turtle vidoes, read turtle books and articles, and built as many safety features into our pond as I  possibly can.  I have bought fencing, rope to make the gaps smaller so they don't escape, dug up plants that are poisonous to turtles, ..bought a water heater so they are warm enough at night, ..bought sand for their out-of-water time, bought vegetable plants...just for them... I intend not to fail this time..
