Ephesians Week 6

Ephesians 5   5  1  Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children   2  and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. 3  But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people.   4  Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving.   5  For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a person is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. [ a ]   6  Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient.   7  Therefore do not be partners with them. 8  For you were once darkness, but now you are light i...

Ephesians - week 3

Week 3 of Ephesians Made Alive in Christ 2  As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins,   2  in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient.   3  All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh [ a ]  and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath.   4  But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy,   5  made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.   6  And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,   7  in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Chri...

Study and learn. Be changed.  Ephesians 2 Made Alive in Christ 1 As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, 2 in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. 3 All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh[a] and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. 4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7 in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9...

The power of His Word- Ephesians part 1

Nothing changes us like His word. Nothing heals us like His word.  Nothing leads to deliverance like His word, for He is the Word (John 1:1) .  Therefore, I am going to share a Bible study on Ephesians in hope you will study it by yourself or with a friend. God bless you.   Ephesians 1 New International Version 1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, To God’s holy people in Ephesus,[a] the faithful in Christ Jesus: 2 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Praise for Spiritual Blessings in Christ 3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5 he[b] predestined us for adoption to sonship[c] through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given u...

Trust the Loving Father

Why are we surprised by troubles? John 16:33 tells us, These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have troubles, but be of Good cheer, i have overcome the world. It reminds me of something that happened to Noah when he was 2 years old.... He was pushing a bubble mower behind his dad who was cutting the grass with a real push mower. All was well until it wasn't. His dad ran over a yellow jacket's nest in the ground. His dad quickly yelled to Noah, ''Run, Noah, run.''. Even though Noah didn't see the danger, Noah knew he has a good daddy, so Noah ran. His dad got stung several times, but Noah obeyed even though he didn't understand why his daddy told him to run. Noah didn't get hurt because he heard his loving father's voice and trusted and obeyed. I want to be more like Noah. https://youtu.be/KB4KcleYiWM?si=cJ_-U4U2e0gL-GVF

Sleepy, sunny days at the Zoo...

The animals love to sleep in the sun.  It was a nice day, 75 degrees...not too hot..just right.  The animals loved soaking in the sun..and we loved viewing their cuteness.

Lessons learned the first 50 years

Image
I hit a milestone. I turned 50 years old. I am thankful that I don't feel 50.   I am thankful for things God has taught me throughout those 50 years. .  I have learned that God loves mercy and when I feel a sense that justice needs to happen over mercy, all I need to do is remember that I am thankful for when God gives me mercy instead of a just punishment.   (Micah 6:8 8 He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.) ( Luke 6: 36  Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful. ) I have learned that hurt people end up hurting people.   When I am able to see that I didn't hurt them but I am bearing the results of that persons hurt inflicted by other people, it helps me forgive whatever hurt they pushed onto me and move on.  (Romans 12 : 18  If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. )  I have learned that a...

:Leaning on the Loving Father

We are in the middle of uncertain times... normal difficulties of life and extraordinary difficulties of a pandemic, rocky economy, and a family life upside down. What do we do?  We must lean on the Loving Father.  Do we trust Him or do we not?   Do we know He is on your side or do we not?  Have we put our Faith in Him or have we not? If we have put faith in Him, keep on.  He is faithful.   Hebrews 10 :  23  Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. 24  And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25  not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another —and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Keep looking for ways to love on one another .. .. look for ways to do good works, for His glory, not for salvation, for HE has done it all on our behalf.  Psalm 91 says  He will cover you with his fe...
