Ephesians 2- Part 2

Study and learn. Be changed.  Ephesians 2 Made Alive in Christ 1 As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, 2 in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. 3 All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh[a] and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. 4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7 in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not

Gotta keep learning

Gotta keep learning... (yes, I did "gotta" on purpose..lol).   Anyway, Russ and I were talking about this last night.   One of the best things we do for our marriage is keep learning.  Keep learning a new thing... keep learning about each other... keep learning about God's word... keep learning a new skill.... keep learning.... It makes a person more vibrant... more "alive"...  Then, you don't feel stuck in a rut doing the same old things.  I know I will never learn it all...but I am going to try! :)

Here is a mom.... fighting to learn that new thing!  Enjoy!

Psalm 89:14-16

14 Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne;
love and faithfulness go before you.
15 Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you,
who walk in the light of your presence, O Lord.

16 They rejoice in your name all day long;
they exult in your righteousness.

Proverbs 1:4-6

4 for giving prudence to the simple,
knowledge and discretion to the young—
5 let the wise listen and add to their learning,
and let the discerning get guidance—
6 for understanding proverbs and parables,
the sayings and riddles of the wise.

Comments

  1. A few things I have learned through the years...
    You can only teach someone who is teachable, and the best teachers are teachable.
    Secondly, my kids may never think I'm cool, but that alright by me, as long as they know in my attempts to try to relate to them, while remaining a parental figure, I am expressing love. And for some of them, that may not be understood until they become parents themselves.
