Ephesians 2- Part 2

Study and learn. Be changed.  Ephesians 2 Made Alive in Christ 1 As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, 2 in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. 3 All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh[a] and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. 4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7 in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not

For Valentine's Day

I have two bits of news to share. First, my dear friend, Kathy...a mom of 7(5 adopted/ 2 biological)... got an amazing call a few days ago. First, let me say..that her 6 year old daughter has been praying for a baby sister. Kathy told her that the only way she was getting a baby sister is if God plopped one in their laps. That is pretty much what has happened. Her phone rang.....A 2 year old little girl who has come from a bad situation... needs a home immediately and a private adoption is going to happen. So...for the cost of lawyer fees (around $5,000)...they will have a new sister! Since it has been around a year that they got back from 6 months of living in Guatemala, they really need help with those fees. If any of you can donate anything, even $10, please do to my website www.scripturepainting.com and go to the donate button on the front page. Kathy and John are homeschooling parents... they love the LORD...and wish to honor him.

The second bit of news is...I received this email...

I had applied...online...to a contest at our local Christian radio station to "renew our vows"..but this looked like spam..so I sent this response back...
Is this real or is this pretend? It looks like spam. I am hoping it is real...but want to make certain.
Thank you,

This is what I got back:

  2. Thank you sweet Rachel for telling our story. Kathleen, this is a private adoption but we know all too well about the expensive adoptions. Our last adoption took 2 1/2 years and was from Guatemala...the final bill, over $40,000.

Congrats on your vow ceremony, Russell is blessed to have you as his life mate!
